Dark Matter experience
Science Museum Lates - Dark Matter Experience
Through a collaboration with Dr Roberto Trotta and his team at the Imperial College London, audiences experienced a multisensory installation at the most recent Science Museum Lates event (Wednesday 31 October 2018). Whilst relaxing in a dedicated space audiences travelled on a journey across the galaxy, narrated through their senses of touch, taste, smell, and sound. This installation made use of Ultrahaptics technology for mid-air touch stimulation, and OWidgets experts for the selection and delivery of a dark matter scent.

About the SCHI Lab

The SCHI Lab research lies in the area of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), an area in which research on multisensory experiences makes a difference on how we design and interact with technology in the future. The interdisciplinary team explores tactile, gustatory, and olfactory experiences as novel interaction modalities.
